64. HINDS - “Bamboo”

This song is like the theme song for young adult love in the 21st century. Its as confused and selfish as it is earnest and desperate. Its using someone, but not in a vindictive sort of way, just in a sort of self-love sort way. The only problem is, when self-love is blind, then the line between the egoistic and the individualistic becomes increasing blurred. It’s a problem one must constantly toe – lucky for us, HINDS has done it in a beautiful jangly and sunny lo-fi jam.
