68. Zuli - “Better All the Time”

This hearkens back to a bygone era, and by bygone I mean around a decade ago, because I’m a ‘millenial’ and get unduly nostalgic about the past. It pulls at the basis of the musical shrine I’ve spent the majority of my teens and young adult life erecting, steeped as it is in the era that birthed and molded my musical tastes. Yet at the same time it manages to avoid being anachronistic, standing on its own two feet today and functioning as a breath of fresh air in a scene that’s increasingly into suffocation.
