99. Wazonek - “She’s Loved”
This jam is a slice of easy breezy jangle rock for all of the indecisive
lovers out there. It details the complexities of modern romance - of
feeling love and fearing love all at once. Its a recognition of the force
growing within, and yet simultaneously trying to laugh it off, attempting to keep it casual and lighthearted,
repeatedly insisting that its nothing, while always keeping it at arms length and
never fully embracing the warm, gooey and vulnerable emotion simmering on
the inside. You can sense the tension between the attitude of music and content
of the lyrics. It’s as if the music is trying to play it cool, while the lyrics
are struggling to keep it together. It’s a situation that I feel all of us can relate to. Here’s to hoping everything turned out alright in the end.
