Ariel Pink - "Picture Me Gone"

Ariel Pink is back yet again with “Picture Me Gone”, another song from his forthcoming release pom pom (out November 17th).

For those of you who thought Ariel Pink could never drop the whimsy and get serious and introspective, he’s here to prove you wrong. It’s a jam ostensibly about the pervasiveness of technology throughout our culture, a concept that when coming from someone like Pink is akin to getting really drunk or high with the class clown, and having them all of a sudden unexpectedly drop the facade and open up to you about their deepest fears and anxieties.

Never fear though, the video itself is the proper dosage of strange that we’ve come to know and love from Pink, with the eyeless and distorted masks unsettling and brilliant in a way only he could concoct.
