This is a track in the vein of Crystal Castles, like a young cousin who met them once at a family reunion and was inspired either consciously or unconsciously to emulate their essence, only I hate comparisons, so lets forget I mentioned that and get down to what makes this song such a great and unique entity in and of itself.

Negative Gemini possesses that ethereal lifeline to the human soul, where every lyric sounds earnest, buried under the reverb and distortion of sound, yet scratching violently to be heard, to break free and inject you directly with emotion. Its the soul trying to transcend reality and life, contorting words and sound to its need, but the words and sounds aren’t enough, so it adds this extra factor, this factor that can be felt, but not named. It evades description and transcends understanding. It pulls at you, it gets into your own soul and communicates with it, drawing you towards it until you’re infected and the shrillness of the emotion is impossible to forget. It haunts you in the best way possible, like the spirit of an ex, only its not even your ex, its just the spirit of heartbreak and unrequited love, the spirit of all exes forming over you. You can feel the emotions, deeper than your own, and they’re not even yours. It’s a cloud dousing you and intoxicating you, and its painful but it feels good, because feeling something is always better than feeling nothing.
