83. Coma Cinema - “Burden”
Every now and then human beings get struck with rare moments of clarity, brief lapses of time where we suddenly seem to pierce the fog and confusion of life to see things for what they are in their truest and simplest form. This song reminds me of one of those moments. It’s like walking through the empty streets at twilight, the sun is setting and coating you in its golden goodbye, your thoughts are meandering with your legs, plodding along, contorting neverending complexities into something poignantly simple. Its an elusive thought washing over you, shaking you to your core and then evaporating, never to be as strong or as meaningful as it was in that solitary moment. Its a fleeting enlightnenment – unless of course you write it down and turn it into a song.
