87. Cities Aviv - “ETA”

This jam is like a little bite-sized taste of youth. You can sense the hazy and soulful aura cocoon your mind, wrapping you in those golden days of yesteryear when there wasn’t a care in the world and time might as well not have even existed. It’s a feeling summed up perfectly by the song’s refrain – “It’s a sunny day, no ETA”.

Soaking up the moment and really living in the present (which is the only reality that’s provable and truly matters) transcends any worries about the past or the future. It’s a thought, but even more importantly a feeling, that one needs to remain constantly aware of and try to hold onto as they drift ever farther into adulthood. It’s easy to get stuck staring into the gaping maw of what “could” or “might” be, but none of that’s guaranteed, better to focus on what is, the singular moment of the present, in which you find yourself caught within this inexplicable thing we call life.
