HOMEBOY SANDMAN - "NOT REALLY"

Homeboy Sandman aka Angel Del Villar II, is a rapper from Elmhurst, Queens, New York. Sandman just released his first album through Stones Throw Records this past September, and if you haven’t checked it out, I suggest you do so immediately. He’s a thoughtful lyricist, a humble, compassionate, and just a genuine guy, which is hard to find in the rap game these days. Even as he’s gotten more and more publicity, hes pretty much stayed the same, which is admirable, and basically what this song is about. Sandman sets out to rap about actual issues and pulls it off brilliantly with his laid back style and delivery. It also helps quite a bit that the great Jonwayne produced this track.
